Driving time will be scheduled in 1 hour blocks. Pick up and drop offs will be done from either Washington Academy or Machias High School.

This lesson will be done last in the series of drive times and will include at least one parent or guardian. Permits will not be issued until all requirements have been completed.

Calais Trip 2-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Lesson

2024 - Behind the Wheel Calais Trip
This is the 4 hour time commitment to Calais - Please plan appropriately. Trips will be taken by 2 students at a time. Each student will drive 2 hours. We will work on navigating the traffic circle and traffic signals while in Calais.

In-Person Classroom

2024 - Complete Course November 4- December 05
November 4 - December 5
This is complete drivers education course, after which students will receive their permits once they have completed the 30 hours of classroom activities, 10 hours of behind the wheel training and scoring an 80 or higher on the written exam. Fee for this course is $600. Driving times will not be scheduled until course fee is received in full. Students must be 15 by the first day of class to be eligible to take Drivers Education.

Private Tutoring

2024 - Private Tutoring
These are 1 hour private tutoring or "refresher" lessons. If a student wishes to review for the road exam, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. As many refresher hours as desired can be scheduled. Cost $30 / hour.
